
Continuing Education Information
Adjuster/Agent CEU Certification
The following is necessary to ensure that you receive proper certification
for your credits:
1. Go to the Continuing Education booth, located in the FWCI registration
area on the convention level. Present a photo ID and license number, check
in, and pick up information to record your attendance.
2. Don’t be late for sessions. The Department of Financial Services
regulations state that if you miss more than ten minutes per sixty minutes
of instruction, or if you leave prior to the end of the session, you will
not receive credit for the course.
3. For a complete list of all courses approved for Adjuster/Agent CEU, check
with the Continuing Education desk located in the FWCI registration area, on
the convention level.
4. You are responsible for recording your attendance, for each session you
attend, on your Continuing Education Attendance Verification Form (CEAv).
Monitors will be available in each room if you have any questions.
Continuing Education credits being sought for several states.
Approved Courses for
Adjuster/Agent CEUs
Nursing, CCM, CDMS, CRC, CVE
Nursing: This program is approved for 16.5 contact hours for nurses by KK
Educational Services, Inc, FL BON Provider Number 50-1163. Nursing credits
are applicable to CCRN, COHN renewal requirements
CCM: Application for 16.5 CEU’s has been made to the Commission for
Certified Case Managers. Approval is pending
CDMS: Application for 16.5 clock hours has been made to the Certified
Disability Manager Specialist Commission. Approval is pending
CRC: Application for 16.5 clock hours has been made to the Commission on
Certified Rehabilitation Counselors. Approval is pending.
CVE: Application for 16.5 clock hours has been made to the Commission on
Certification of Work Adjustment and Vocational Evaluation Specialists:

Not all sessions are approval for continuing education. Visit the Medical
Continuing Education Area to obtain CE registration materials and
information required for continuing education credit. These materials are
NOT included in your conference registration packets.
To receive CE credit, you must:
1. Visit the Medical Continuing Education Area to receive your CE materials
after receiving your conference registration materials. You will be required
to show your conference badge to obtain the CE packet.
2. After each session you attend, complete the Attendance Verification Form
and Evaluation Form from the CE packet. When you have completed the
conference, return these completed forms, in person, to the Medical
Continuing Education Area.
3. You will receive a Certificate of Attendance when you return your
Attendance Verification and Evaluation Forms.
4. Attendance Verification and Evaluation Forms must be received, in person
at the Medical Continuing Education Area, by 3:30 pm Wednesday, August 18,
2010, in order to receive CE credit. No forms submitted by any other means
will be accepted, nor will Certificates of Attendance be issued after that
time. Requests for CE credit after the conference will not be honored.
Florida nursing license numbers are required to post credits to CE Broker.
Incorrect, illegible numbers or failure to provide this information will
result in non posting of CE credit. Please remember to bring your license
numbers with you to the conference.
Special Note; Bureau of Rehabilitation Bi-Annual recertification
requirements for qualified rehabilitation professionals can be attained by
attending the 2 hour Tuesday afternoon session in Grand Ballroom 8. A QRP
certificate will be presented at the end of this session.
Continuing Medical Education

This activity has been planned and implemented in
accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of
Bayfront Medical Center and Florida Workers’ Compensation Institute, Inc.
Bayfront Medical Center is accredited by the Florida Medical Association to
provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Bayfront Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum
of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit
commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Continuing Legal Education
Participants who wish to receive Continuing Legal Education Requirement
credits should report and complete required bar information at the
Continuing Legal Education booth located in the FWCI registration area, on
the convention level. Note: Individual reporting online is required for some
states. Course credit approval pending through numerous state bars.
Safety Certification
Participants holding the CSP certification interested in counting
Continuance of Certification (COC) points for the safety track should review
the BCSP Continuance of Certification Guide or contact the Board of
Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) directly at (217) 359-9263 or visit
their website at www.bcsp.org for more information. Certificates of
Completion will be provided for attending certain designated conference
courses.
IH & CMP Safety Credits
The American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) has approved the following
sessions for continuing education credits:
OSHA 10-hour class General Industry - 1.67 Safety CM points.
NIOSH Cutting Edge Occupational Health Issues - 1.17 IH CM points.
NIOSH ERC Regional Seminar & Research r2p Symposium - 0.67 IH CM points.
PHR, SPHR and GPHR Recertification Credits
Human Resource attendees may submit the 65th Annual Workers’ Compensation
Educational Conference to the HR Certification Institute for recertification
credit on an hour-for-hour basis of HR educational content time.
Mediators Continuing Education
Pursuant to Administrative Order entered by Chief Justice Major B. Harding
on 9-11-98 (effective 4-1-00), for certification renewal on or after 4-1-02,
a minimum of 16 hours of Continuing Mediator Education (CME) credits must be
completed, which shall include a minimum of 4 hours of mediation ethics in
each two year renewal cycle, including the two years following initial
certification. And pursuant to recent amendment, 2 hours of Domestic
Violence and 1 hour of Cultural Diversity is also required for
recertification.
This 3-day program will provide “general” Civil Continuing Mediation
Training credit as well as credit for Mediator Ethics, Cultural Diversity
and Domestic Violence. You can obtain the hours allocated for these
components when you register and sign-in at the Bar Credits booth.
Medicare Set-Aside Certified Consultant (MSCC)
7.0 CEU’s have been approved with the International Commission on Health
Care Certification. 2 CEU’s on Aug 16 and 5 CEUs on Aug 18.
In order to receive CEUs for MSCC recertification, visit the Medical
Continuing Education Area to obtain information on the specific courses that
are approved for MSCC CEUs. Follow the instructions for nurses and
rehabilitation professionals in order to obtain CEUs.
